Therefore, if burrs are found at the beginning, the mold must be trimmed as soon as possible. There are several reasons for the failure
1. The clamping force is insufficient for injection molding
Compared with the projected area of the molding parts, if the clamping force is small, there will be a gap between the moving die and the static die due to the injection pressure, which will inevitably lead to burr. Especially when the side gate is placed on the hole near the center of the part, it is very easy to produce burr due to the large injection pressure.
2. The local fit of injection mold is not tight
Firstly, the problem of inaccurate clamping of dynamic and static dies is discussed. Although the mold itself is closed tightly, when the elbow type clamping mechanism is used for injection molding, it is usually caused by the poor parallelism of the mold or the poor adjustment of the clamping device. For example, the left and right sides of the mold are not balanced, that is, only one side of the left and right sides is locked, and the other side is not tightly bonded. At this point, the tie rods (two or four tie rods) must be adjusted to balance development.
Secondly, the adhesion is loose due to poor mold development. Especially when there is a forming hole in the center of the workpiece, because of the supporting effect of this part, burr is easy to appear when the clamping force is insufficient.
3. Deformation of injection mold
If the original degree of the mold is not enough, it will offset due to the injection pressure. If there is a hole near the center, there will be a burr around the hole. When the center hole is used to open the side door, the periphery of the hole and the runner will also be generated. skin needling. The burr caused by this reason is caused by bad mold manufacturing, so it is difficult to repair. Reinforcing the mold can reduce burr.
4. Excessive injection of molten material during injection molding
This is not the direct cause of the failure. To prevent shrinkage, it is wrong to inject too much molten material. It is necessary to increase the injection time or holding time of the molding (see shrinkage).
5. There are foreign bodies on the surface of injection mold
There are foreign bodies on the clamping surface of the die, which will inevitably produce burr. In order to solve this problem, it is obvious that the surface of the die must be cleaned to close the clamping surface.
